The Tall Ships are coming to Newcastle again in July 2005.

The Tall Ships race starts at Waterford in the Republic of Ireland on July 6th 2005. Tyneside is hosting the 100 plus tall ships taking part in the race from July 25th-28th when they will be on view at Newcastle Quayside.

Young people from Gateshead have the opportunity to take part in the second leg of the race, what is known as the Cruise in company, when the ships will sail from Cherbourg to the Tyne. They will stop of at ports along the east coast of England before arriving back at the Tyne for the spectacular river festival from the 25th-28th July.
